Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you join the QuantForge founding waitlist, why, and the control you have over it. It covers the waitlist and marketing site only — not the desktop application, which runs locally on your own machine.
01Who we are
QuantForge (“we”, “us”) is operated by quantforgeapp.com. This site collects a small amount of information so we can send you a private-preview invite and run a referral program. We are the data controller for that information. If you are in the EEA or UK, terms like “controller”, “consent”, and “legitimate interest” below are used in their GDPR / UK-GDPR sense.
02What we collect

| Verification status | A 6-digit code confirms the address is really yours — this is what makes a referral “verified” and blocks fake signups. |
| Referral attribution | If you arrived from someone's referral link or a specific channel (a ?c= tag such as x / linkedin / reddit / email), we record that so credit goes to the right referrer and we learn which channels work. |
| Founding Score & position | Your join number and referral score, so we can show your standing and prioritise invites. |
| Request metadata | IP address, timestamp, and a bot-check result (Cloudflare Turnstile). Used only to rate-limit, detect self-referral / fraud, and keep the list real. Not used to profile or track you across the web. |
| Aggregate analytics | Privacy-friendly, cookieless page analytics (counts, referrers, which channel converted). No cross-site tracking, no advertising networks, no fingerprinting. |
03What we deliberately don't collect
- No brokerage credentials. Joining the waitlist never touches a brokerage. The desktop app connects to your broker locally, on your own machine — those credentials never reach this site or our servers.
- No harvesting your friends. Referrals are link-based. When you share your link we do not upload, store, or email your contacts. A referred person's email is captured only if they choose to sign up themselves.
- No selling or renting data, and no sharing with advertisers — ever.
04How we use it & our legal basis
- Send your invite and preview updates — on the basis of your consent (given when you submit your email). You can withdraw it anytime via the one-click unsubscribe in every email.
- Run the referral / Founding-Score program — to operate the service you asked to join.
- Prevent fraud and abuse (rate-limiting, self-referral and disposable-email checks) — on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the list real and the system secure.
- Understand which channels work — using aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics that don't identify you individually.
05The referral program
If you share your referral link, please tell people plainly that you get a perk if they join (our share tools pre-fill that disclosure for you). We record a referral as verified only after the referred person confirms their own email. Founding-Score points have no cash value and exist to prioritise invites; we may disqualify signups or referrals that appear fraudulent.
06Who processes data for us
We use a small set of vendors purely to run the funnel. They process data on our instructions, not for their own purposes:

Data is processed in the United States. For EEA/UK visitors, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We may also disclose information if required by law.
08Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe anytime — one click in any email, honoured promptly.
- Access, correct, or delete your data — email us and we'll action it. Deleting removes you from the list and the referral graph.
- EEA/UK residents also have the rights to object, restrict, and port data, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
- California residents: we do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

09Retention & children
We keep your waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the founding-beta program ends and we no longer need it — whichever comes first. QuantForge is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors.
10Changes & contact
